Today is November's 2022 Creator Day Sale! Lining up, as it does every November, with Black Friday - what it means is that Itch.io isn't taking any cut of sales today, which means you're supporting your favorite creators 100% with any purchases - and quite a few creators are also placing their products on sale!

The creator day sale lasts for three days. While I'm not sure if this means Itch.io won't be taking a cut for all three of these days, there will be LOTS of games on sale this whole weekend, I just highly encourage folks to snap up some games today when I know for a fact that the creators are getting 100%!

It's a great day to grab some new games, SRDs, zines, everything incredible that Itch.io creators have to offer, and I'd like to highlight some of what I've been eyeing up waiting for today, as well as some games that I've really loved from Itch that could use more love!

note: I will not be exclusively promoting projects that are 'on sale', as I can guarantee that the projects here that aren't on sale are 100% worth their full price regardless, especially on a day when the creators get 100% of their earnings!

As a disclaimer, because my general focus here is TTRPGs, I'll be looking at these creators - those who make full systems, games using their own (or other independently made game systems), homebrew for various popular systems, etc.

Lets start things off with some fantastic systems that have some wonderful games attached to them, and are also great for people who'd like to break into designing their own games!

FariRPGs - free SRDs for Charge, Breathless, Hopes & Dreams, with games based on each of these!
Game poster for Breathless by FariRPGs: an orange hued cityscape with text overlaid that reads "Shoot, loot, survive. Breathless. A survival Horror Role-playing game by FariRPGs" A dark green and yellow hued, painterly city scene with text overlaying reading "Hopes & Dreams"

Breathless: Players are survivors in a walled city - but the zombies are walled in with you. Game is well suited for a one-shot, uses polyhedral dice, and is good for 2-4 players! The SRD is free for designing your own games around it, and the original game is $6 USD.

Hopes & Dreams: In this game, you play as young adults in a grunge industrial-fantasy world, with hopes and dreams to make a difference amidst the corruption. This is a much bigger game than Breathless - with unique resolution mechanics and gorgeous detail put into the world. The SRD is also available for free and the game itself is $12 USD.

I highly recommend checking these out, as well as FariRPGs other projects!

JC Darcy - Small fae/Witch themed games

A light grey background with a simply drawn hand, palm up in profile, on the center of the image. Floating above the hand is an open eye with radiating lines circling it, and four sparkles floating around. This circular image has a flowy artstyle of a fairy sitting atop a discoball, her hair flowing wildly like swirling within a crystal ball. The colors are a yellow at the bottom that shimmers into pink at the top, and there are birds flying through the image as well as other abstract elements. It has text overlaid that reads "Saturday Night Sovereigns"

Songs of the City: This is a solo journaling game about being an urban witch performing little rituals to keep the city going. "It is about hope, and routine, and small actions that set a grand intent. " Meant to be played each day of the week for a week, and uses a tarot deck. This game is £2 GBP.

Saturday Night Sovereigns: This is a game written for the Caltrop Core jam (by Titanomachy, an SRD & game creator you should also check out) in which you play a fae creature at The Looking Glass Lounge. The GM plays the role of DJ, as well, and it's a very 70s disco vibe. This game is £5 GBP.
